The Road Not Taken

The Road Not Taken

It was summer 2020 and we’d been inside for a long time. We wanted to make something we’d all been missing; the outdoors. We shot this to try some new equipment and use the creativity we’d been missing.

Rugged Land

We packed our sleeping bags and loaded the car with snacks and set off in search of some of Scotland’s hidden gems.

There’s maybe no better place for self-reflection than in nature. It is hard not to be introspective when surrounded by the wild simplicity of the woods or the hills or the sea. There is something about it that makes you think more clearly, more calmly than before.

With this theme in mind we hit the road and made our way to film at The Whangie and Benmore Forest.

Arkaig is inspired by that desire to break out from the confines of routine and get a little lost in the nature that means so much to us.

After a year of isolating and staying indoors we felt it important to create something that celebrated not only the beauty of nature but also its ability to restore us in both body and spirit.

So remember to get out and pick some berries for your porridge every once in a while.
